Seul Jung (Chungnam National University) Korea and India have initiated a Joint Research programme in 2018 under the Indo-Korea Joint Network Center on Robotics with the title “Research in Human-Centered Robotics with Special emphasis on Field and Bio-medical Rehabilitation” funded jointly by NRF of Korea and DST of India. A total of 10 collaborative institutes/universities and research laboratories are jointly working on various aspects of dynamics and control of robotics devices. It was felt appropriate to share those results in this conference and hear similar knowledge from other researchers around the World who are working in the area of HCR. Papers in the area of the above research theme are sought by the deadline of the conference in the format provided by the organizer. They will be peer reviewed by an expert group as per the policy of the conference.

OS035 Simulated Learning for USVs Swarm Planning and Control

Yong Woon Park (Dongguk University) As a challenging project titled with “Swarm USVs Operation and Control” funded by ADD is started in 2019. First session is about how well we are making swarm planning with advanced approaches compared with baseline algorithm like optimization technique. Mostly reinforced leaning is a key areas for more advanced researches. It is dedicated on USVs swarm domain with several variants in swarm planning approaches.
Second, we will introduce virtual modeling researches for USVs swarm learning for advanced planning. It is intended to make realistic modeling for learning purpose which mimics exactly the real physical phenomenon of USV from dynamics to the virtual image viewed by the synthetic generation. It also includes autonomous sensor and control system modeling to cover perception and motional behavior. In addition, environmental characteristics are artificially generated to work as like real scenarios. All these effectors are generated to mimic the physical cases which happen in real environment.
These two sessions will motivate how far the planning researches on swarm USVs is forwarding based on the simulation technique which covers all the parameters inherent in sensing, dynamics, control systems. It also includes how human control behavior is learned with several scenarios on swarm control action and varying environments. Mostly, it is expected to see how far reinforcement learning adaptation on these swarm operations is going to be the main focus.

Sung Hyun Han (Kyungnam University) This study proposes a new approach to track record and monitoring of cooperative robot system for smart FA. The monitoring simulator structure is seven section and each function for a convenient user interface. It will be required the establishments of a three-dimensional database and of a graphical algorithm for real time implementation of seven function in simulators. In particular, this monitoring simulator has been operated in on-line and off-line. In the case of simulators using graphics, one of the most frequently used functions is the visual position change function, so in this study, the visual position change function is more convenient.
OS037 Human-like Navigation and Multimodal Data Analysis for Outdoor Security Robots toward Long-term Autonomy

Hyoung-Rock Kim (LG Electronics) / Seung Min Baek (LG Electronics) Under continuing COVID-19 crisis, autonomous robots’ application for delivery, quarantine, and security are getting more attention. Such robot applications require integration of a robust HW platform for rugged environment, stable autonomous navigation, intelligent detection and tracking of abnormal situation and efficient multi-agent monitoring and control system. Especially, security robots must be specialized for abnormal and harsh conditions. In order to develop this security robot system, many technical challenges have been tackled for multi-modal sensor system for long term operation, multi-modal recognition and tracking algorithm, human in the loop learning for gradual improvement of abnormal detection performance, and cloud based system integration and operation. There has been much effort to collect and disclose dataset of multi-modal sensors on various abnormal situation, too.
This project is now in the final stage of the five-year’s journey. In this workshop, we’d like to share our experiences and technical achievements of this project. By sharing these experiences, we hope that it will serve as a basis for other further researches.

OS043 Continuous-Time Low-pass Sigma Delta with Voltage-Controlled Oscillator and Noise Divider of Spread Spectrum Clock Generator for Bio-system Applications

Wen-Cheng Lai (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology) The proposed fully integrated circuit in SSCG for RFI reduction. From articles survey, the SSCG modulation have present continuous-time low-pass sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter with a chain of integrators and with weighted capacitive feedforward summation (CICFF) technology which is a desirable LC voltage control oscillator (VCO) [1], [2] at 5.2 GHz, current-reused LC injection locked frequency divider by 8 (ILFD ÷8) [3], [4] and Gm-C loop filter [5], [6] for implementation been reported. The proposed summation of feedforward signals is implemented by weighted capacitors, without the necessity of any additional active components. There are many efforts to reduce the radio frequency interference (RFI), and among these RFI solutions, the spread spectrum clock generator (SSCG) is the most effective [7]. The Fig. 1 introduces the proposed SSCG block diagram of system on chip (SOC) sigma delta modulator with VCO and noise divider for intelligent Bio-systems of control Bio-signal applications.
